The Moon was at its nearest point to the Earth, the perigee, during the early mornings of the 11th & 12th August, so I took
advantage of the incredible zoom on my video camera to capture a short sequence. Note how the rotation of the Earth causes quite a rapid movement, a perceived
movement of the Moon.
P.S.This video was taken at 05:50 on the morning of 12th August 2014, i.e. exactly sixty-seven years after
my birth. The Moon was at its nearest point to the Earth, the "perigee".
